Honoring the Life and Legacy of Elizabeth Alling Sewall

Team Elizabeth Rides Again

2015 Pan-Mass Challenge Quickly Approaching

A Letter from Gordon Sewall

Dear Friends and Family,

The 2015 Pan-Mass Challenge bike ride raising funds to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is just around the corner, August 1st to be exact, and Team Elizabeth is working hard to get ready within the limits of our busy lives. The Team has grown to six this summer with the addition of Sonya Conway, a Milton Academy and South Shore friend, and Tom Dwyer, a Trinity classmate of Scott’s joining the team. Regulars Gerry Campos, Tricia Glynn Campos, Scott Sewall and yours truly, are ready to wear the coveted Elizabeth Alling Sewall bike jersey in this important ride.

The Fund has grown to over $330,000 and our team goal this year is to raise an additional $45,000. At this early stage, we have already secured slightly over $20,000 in gifts and pledges, a most inspiring start. 100% of all gifts made in support of any of the riders or to Team Elizabeth directly will flow into the Endowment. We are grateful for gifts of any size, thank you.

If you’d like to donate, you can do so by check or online with a credit card. Checks should be made out to Pan Mass Challenge with the Elizabeth Alling Sewall endowment on the memo line and sent to me at: 57 Wheelwright Farm, Cohasset, MA 02025. If you prefer to donate by credit card, you can do so at the Team PMC page. Please note you can donate to the team as a whole or select a specific rider from our team list by clicking “donate” on his or her page.

We, as a family and a broad circle of friends, continue to feel Elizabeth’s presence in our lives, a presence full of light, hope, laughter, love, curiosity and abiding affection for all “who came to her door.” We are most grateful for her legacy urging us to try new things, to reach a little higher and, when we can, to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Therein lies a life well lived.

Scott and Duncan join me in wishing you a happy and fun-filled summer.

With warm regards,

Gordon
